These Terms govern your use of originalsforhome.com and the Originals for Home Publisher desktop applications for TikTok and Facebook. By using either service, you agree to these Terms.
1. About the service
Originals for Home is an independent art brand based in Canada. Our website presents our artwork, links to our official Etsy storefront, and describes our desktop publishing tools.
The TikTok Publisher helps an authorized creator prepare and upload original artwork videos to TikTok as drafts, with final review and publishing completed inside TikTok. The Facebook Publisher helps an authorized Facebook Page administrator prepare, publish, or schedule photos, carousels, videos, and Reels on a Page they control.
2. Eligibility and acceptance
You may use the service only if you can legally enter into these Terms, are authorized to manage the connected account or Page, and meet the age and account requirements of TikTok, Meta, Facebook, Etsy, and applicable law. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.
3. Platform authorization
The Publisher applications use TikTok and Meta authorization and APIs. You must authorize the required access through the applicable platform. You may revoke that authorization through TikTok or Facebook. Your use of each platform remains subject to its own terms, policies, developer rules, and community standards.
We do not control the availability, review processes, content decisions, account restrictions, audience distribution, or API changes of TikTok, Meta, Facebook, or other third-party services.
4. Your content and responsibilities
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us only the limited permission necessary to process the content and transfer it to the platform you select at your direction.
You are responsible for ensuring that:
- you own the content or have all permissions needed to use and publish it;
- you are authorized to manage the connected account or Facebook Page;
- the content, caption, links, music, artwork, trademarks, and other materials comply with applicable law and the destination platform's rules;
- you review content, audience, and scheduling choices before approving publication; and
- your platform accounts, credentials, access tokens, and computer remain secure.
You may not use the service to infringe intellectual property, violate privacy, distribute unlawful or harmful content, mislead others, interfere with a platform or the service, or attempt unauthorized access.
5. Etsy shop and purchases
Product listings, orders, payments, taxes, shipping, returns, and buyer communications are handled through Etsy. Purchases are subject to the terms, policies, prices, delivery information, and return conditions displayed in the applicable Etsy listing and our Etsy shop at the time of purchase.
Etsy is a separate third-party platform. We are not responsible for interruptions or changes to Etsy's service, although we remain responsible for our own listings and obligations as a seller.
6. Intellectual property
The Originals for Home name, website design, applications, text, graphics, branding, and original artwork are owned by Originals for Home or used with permission. Except as allowed by law, you may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, resell, or create derivative works from the applications or website without prior written permission.
7. Privacy and platform data
Our handling of information is described in our Privacy Policy. Instructions for disconnecting platform access and requesting or completing deletion are available on our Data Deletion Instructions page.
8. Availability and changes
We may update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the website or applications. Features that depend on TikTok, Meta, Facebook, Etsy, hosting providers, operating systems, or internet connectivity may become unavailable or change without notice.
9. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the website and Publisher applications are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, successful uploads or publication, a particular audience reach, sales, revenue, or approval by TikTok, Meta, or Facebook.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Originals for Home will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, opportunities, content, reach, or account access arising from use of or inability to use the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time and revoke platform authorization. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, comply with law, address misuse, or respond to third-party platform requirements.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of New Brunswick and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction remain unaffected.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when our services, platforms, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the latest version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
