This Privacy Policy explains how Originals for Home handles information through originalsforhome.com and the Originals for Home Publisher desktop applications that connect to TikTok and Meta services, including Facebook Pages.
1. Who we are
Originals for Home is an independent art brand based in Canada. We operate the website at originalsforhome.com, link to our Etsy storefront, and provide desktop publishing tools for our authorized creators and Page administrators. Questions about this policy may be sent to nat.crucian@gmail.com.
2. Information handled by our website
Our website does not require an account and does not intentionally collect information through contact forms. Our hosting provider may automatically process limited technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device type, requested pages, timestamps, and security logs, to deliver and protect the website.
When you follow a link to Etsy, TikTok, Facebook, or another third-party service, that service handles information under its own privacy policy.
3. Information handled by the Publisher applications
When an authorized operator connects a platform account, the applications may process:
- TikTok information: TikTok Open ID, basic profile information made available through
user.info.basic, authorization scopes, access and refresh tokens, token expiration information, and connection status; - Meta and Facebook information: the identity of the Facebook user authorizing the application, Facebook Page ID and Page name, granted permissions, Page access token, token status and expiration information;
- photos or videos selected by the operator, captions, links, scheduling choices, local file metadata, content hashes, upload progress, publication identifiers, and publication status; and
- local application settings, logs, and queue information needed to operate, secure, or troubleshoot the applications.
The Facebook Publisher requests only the permissions needed to list Pages managed by the operator, read basic Page engagement information, and create or manage Page posts, currently including pages_show_list, pages_read_engagement, and pages_manage_posts.
4. How we use information
We use information only to provide functionality requested by the authorized operator: authenticate with the selected platform, identify an authorized Facebook Page, prepare and transfer selected content, publish or schedule approved Facebook Page content, upload TikTok drafts, show upload or publication status, prevent duplicate submissions, maintain local settings, protect the service, and respond to support requests.
The TikTok Publisher uses TikTok's Content Posting API and video.upload; final review and publishing take place inside TikTok. The Facebook Publisher uses the Meta Graph API to publish or schedule photos, carousels, videos, and Reels to a Facebook Page controlled by the operator.
We do not use platform data for advertising, profiling, data brokerage, credit decisions, or purposes unrelated to the requested publishing workflow.
5. Storage and security
Publisher application data is primarily stored on the authorized operator's Windows computer. Platform authorization tokens are protected using Windows Data Protection API (DPAPI) where supported. For the Facebook Publisher, Meta credentials are stored in an encrypted local file under the current Windows user's local application-data folder. Queue data and selected file paths remain on the device unless they must be transmitted to TikTok or Meta to perform an action initiated by the operator.
We do not intentionally store platform passwords. Authentication is performed by TikTok or Meta. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information handled.
6. Sharing of information
We do not sell or rent personal information. Information may be shared only as needed with:
- TikTok, when the operator authorizes the application or initiates a draft upload;
- Meta, including Facebook, when the operator authorizes the application or publishes, schedules, or checks the status of Facebook Page content;
- website hosting and technical service providers, to operate and protect the website;
- Etsy, when a visitor chooses to visit or purchase through our Etsy storefront; and
- public authorities or other parties when required by law, needed to protect rights and safety, or necessary to prevent fraud or abuse.
7. Cookies and analytics
We do not currently use advertising cookies or behavioral tracking on originalsforhome.com. Our hosting provider may use essential technologies required for security, traffic routing, and reliable delivery. Third-party websites linked from this site may use their own cookies and analytics.
8. Retention
Local application information remains on the operator's device until it is removed through the application, the operating system, or deletion of the application-data files. Access tokens are retained only while the connection is needed and valid. Publication records and logs are retained locally as needed to operate the queue, prevent duplicate submissions, troubleshoot, and meet legal obligations. TikTok and Meta retain information according to their own policies. Technical server logs are retained only as reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting, and legal obligations.
9. Your choices and rights
You may disconnect either Publisher application through the applicable platform, remove local application data, decline to upload or publish content, or contact us about information under our control. Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of personal information.

10. Children
Our services are not directed to children under 13, or to anyone below the minimum age required to use TikTok, Facebook, or Etsy in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. International processing
Service providers such as TikTok, Meta, Etsy, and hosting providers may process information in countries other than your own. Their processing is governed by their respective policies and applicable law.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services, technology, platform requirements, or legal obligations. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the latest version.
